This mount allows the removal of the change pocket/cubby in front of the 2022 WRX cupholders and the installation of a RAM 1" screw-down mount (P/N: RAM-B-238U)

With this screw-down mount a wide variety of devices can be held securely and out of the way, including phones, tablets, etc. This helps save a ton of space for drivers with large phones as the pocket in front of the shifter is not quite big enough to hold a large iPhone or Android and not slightly interfere with the shifter.
